One estimate places 1,000 homeless people in the Bismarck-Mandan area.
On Jan. 30, "Project Community" will be held to provide free services to help the homeless in the community.
Carrie`s Kids is hosting the event and also put on a similar one last August.
Project Community will provide essentials like food, clothing, eye exams, and even haircuts.
More than 150 volunteers are expected to help provide the services and Carrie`s Kids is hoping to have at least 500 people come out to receive help.
"We will literally get rid of tons," says Dwight Hegel, Carrie`s Kids Volunteer. "There will be truck loads of stuff brought into the church that day and at the end of the day there will be truck loads of empty boxes that we`ll take out."
Project Connection will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church at 310 East Avenue A in Bismarck.
