PRESENCES IN PARENTING
Meeting with parents in their home or in a group to provide them with skills and techniques that will encourage and empower them to connect with their children.
Also, working with parents to increase their skills and abilities to maintain a home.
Several times each week snack bags are made for kids to have something to eat after school. These children are either in a group at Carrie’s Kids or have been referred to us as a child who would benefit from a meal like snack. Other days we supply a full meal for children.
Children/teens engage in projects and activities that teach the importance of helping others. They also learn through these activities that they can help their community by contributing and making the world a better place. We encourage parent participation as well as mentors and volunteers, the opportunity to connect and work alongside each other.
Meet in small groups to discuss parenting, life, budgeting, hardships, and offer ideas and support.
